I supplemented the ONKYO RN 855 system with this subwoofer + Polk Audio S15 columns, room 21 square meters. m. experimented with the location of the Saba (by the way, there was no hum, so the Power Port system works), settled at the location in the corner. The bass is fast, clear, soft, depending on the phonogram. I do not agree with the previous review - it shows itself perfectly in the cinema, it turns on both on the trigger and automatically (there is a switch). In music, he shows himself perfectly with calm genres (he added velvety to the smuggling in the new album Diana Krall.) Something fast and aggressive (progressive, matcra) I usually listen without a sub, otherwise the brain can not stand it, but it is for an amateur. Thanks to the remote control for a good discount!

The subwoofer is more musical. It gives out powerful and saturated bass without a hum. For music, this is a plus. But for cinema it is not adapted. He feels poorly harsh sounds. For example, a sonorous pistol shot is heard as a soft "boom". In the previous series with a conventional phase inverter, the sounds looked much more natural, sharp and ringing. The natural front of the explosive wave was transmitted. The same subwoofer muffles all sharp sounds, softens them.
