The original Linton model was well known the world over for the rich and natural sound quality it could provide, surpassing the performance of speakers at similar price points at the time. The new model retains the qualities and ethos but expands on it using proprietary technologies that only come with over 85 years of experience and delivers you impactful bass, clear midrange and expansive scale that breaths new life into your favourite music and movie soundtracks.
Large Driver
Woven Kevlar Cone Mounted on a rigid die-cast chassis, the woven Kevlar cone provides strong performance producing beautifully rich and detailed mid-range and bass frequencies. A 135mm midrange driver sits above this and supports a woven kevlar cone housed within its own internal enclosure. The composite Kevlar produced by Wharfedale is the ideal speaker material thanks to its lightweight rigidity that can effectively and rapidly reproduce natural sound free of colouration and distortion.
High Flux Ferrite Magnet
The high frequencies are produced by a woven textile soft-dome treble unit with a high flux ferrite magnet. This assures smooth, detailed high frequencies with dispersion that fills your room with rich, warm and characterful audio.
High-Quality Crossover
A natural and coherent musical output is assured thanks to rigorous research into the crossover and 85 years of loudspeaker design know-how. Near inaudible crossover is seamless, enabling you to enjoy sound that is placed exactly where it needs to be with open and detailed character.
Optional matching stands
The Linton's feature a classic style that has become timeless, ensuring fantastic aesthetics in any environment they are placed in. Each model in the range sports an optional custom-made matching stand. This will place the speaker at the optimal listening height for a vastly improved sound stage. The rigid metal frame negates all unwanted vibrations and resonances with added space below for storage of vinyl and other Hi-Fi accessories.
