Pro-Ject RPM 5 Carbon Turntable with 9CC Tonearm, Red

Pro-Ject RPM 5 Carbon Gloss White Turntable. If your looking at the RPM 5, you either love the styling or you have heard of the RPM’s history. The RPM Series, are some of the finest turntables that Pro-Ject produce and is idea for those who do not wished to own a traditional looking square turntable. The problem with many stylish decks is that they have always fallen short on performance, though this is not the case with the RPM 5 Carbon.

On looks alone it says enough, but as this is part of the RPM family of turntables, it also means business. Using all those clever little traits that Pro-Ject have learnt over the years to string every ounce of musical detail really is a testament. How Pro-Ject’s engineers have done this is remarkable and must be commended as the development team have nurtured this record player, leaving you with the with only two choices left. Which colour and cartridge to opt for.

Using Pro-Ject’s 9CC evolution 9 inch tonearm together with the TPE dampened counterweight means that the RPM 5 will become more revealing with each cartridge upgrade you make. So, if you combine the Ortofon 2M Red with the RPM 5 Carbon or even max it out with the Ortofon Quintet Black, you’ll be delighted with its performance.

Other features to take notice of with the RPM 5 is it uses a Carbon Fibre-topped Plinth, a Thick acrylic Pattter and Completely Decoupled motor supplied with a perimeter belt to give your vinyl the best possible platform in this class to produce accurate musical sounds.

So, if you’re serious about your vinyl, together with that enjoyable experiences when making the simple cartridge upgrade path, you can truly tailor the RPM 5 into a stunning Pro-Ject turntable, which will keep you happy for many years.
