A headphone amplifier is like a small power amp, relative to the load (the headphones) the technical requirements are similar: Excellent load tolerance, high stability margins, low distortion, wide bandwidth, low noise, excellent channel separation.
The LX2-HPA will easily drive any commercially produced headphone. It's high current delivery and excellent stability margins result in completely uncolored neutral performance. Distortion at less than 0.0035%, wide band is vanishingly low and certainly inaudible. Bandwidth extends to about 80kHz and even at 40kHz the distortion remains well below 0.05%. A remarkable achievement.
The outstanding noise ratio of better than 112dB means that the music comes from a true 'black velvet' background field. Stereo separation is excellent and assures a rock solid imaging experience. Talk about 'adventures in inner space!

The amplifier made a rather pleasant impression, but, because This is my first stationary headphone amplifier, there is no way to compare with analogues. Compared to FIIO A5, the sound is more interesting and the sound compared to the Yamaha A-S500 headphones is also more interesting, more detailed, but weaker than working the lower register. Source - Hidizs AP100, Audioquest Evergreen cable. The headphones are full -size from 24 to 250 Ohms. It works good with all the headphones (you need to choose Gain). In general, the presentation is quite dynamic, but sometimes there is a lack of power. Moreover, at 250 Ohms and at 80. When he lacks power, he does not choke, does not spoil the sound, but very tactfully “merges” it. That is, you can twist the volume control, but do not get an increase in either it or improvement of the lower classes. So he “merged” me Meddle Pink Floyd, but Clapton, U2, plays metallic quite well. If there is an increase at the linear output of the source - do not hesitate to use it, it will be better. The power plug is not fully included in the case, and so conceived by the manufacturer, do not try to push it. In general, the price is the expected result in the ratio, I am satisfied with the amplifier. There would be money - I would buy better, at least, with a transformer stabilizer.
