Review
I needed a compact receiver with the availability of Pre Out Front, since the powerage will be responsible for the front acoustics. The only suitable market option is Maratz NR1711, inherently the same Denon 1600, the difference is only in the power supply and the amplifying part. In fact, in this model there is nothing outstanding except compact sizes, and clearly highly high cost. To use this model for listening to music is nonsense, it is not any, it is small in sound, it cannot control acoustics, therefore this model is unambiguously universal. His element is only a movie, in fact, what he was created for. In the cinema, he practices for a fourth with a stretch, but still I have no particular nit -handedness to him. When choosing an AC for this baby, pay attention to sensitivity, no tight speakers he will not pull.

Review
A receiver with a good sound, which gradually became better for a month, in the process of warming up. A computer is connected to the receiver via HDMI, via optics and EARC TV, plus the center of Definitive Technology CS9040, the Klipsch C-308aswi submarine and the side Heco F11. JAMO's front columns C 95 II Black Ash are connected through the Emotiva A-300 amplifier. At first, he made several calibrations of the room, both through a microphone, and just with a tape measured distance to listen to how it would be like that. In the final, he stopped on the result from the built -in sound calibration system, after which he already added thinner settings through the parameters in the menu. Different preserves of acoustics are created for music and for the cinema, which are saved on the menu and which can be rewritten if it is necessary. There are also four saved fast settings for various connected devices. Therefore, switching between different sources is made by just one button, which is convenient. For music, cinema, games and Pure there are separate sound modes where I chose and retained the most comfortable for my ear. The setting for itself is simple and light, and then it’s still easier to use. The sound was enough without an amplifier, just the amplifier made it a little softer and a little more detailed. Through Air Play, I did not notice losses in the sound. All that needs to be connected and everything works correctly. Of the little things that could be, there is no button to darken the screen on the remote control. This can be done on the receiver itself or through the menu, which is inconvenient. And a strange sound control algorithm from the remote control, when you need to make it quieter or louder, then if you press the button and hold, the sound does not change gradually, but immediately, so you have to press several times each time so as not to miss. The iPhone app is simply terrible. It does not affect the quality of the receiver in any way, but if you need to configure or turn it on, turn it off through it, and this is necessary, then this is sometimes a whole epic, since everything slows down, hangs and buggy almost constantly. But it inspires the hope that after several updates the application became clearly better, although it is still very far from normal. In addition, there are no other complaints about Maratz. Everything else in 1711 suits completely and well performs the tasks that it must fulfill.
