Klipsch Surround speaker THX-5000-SUR Black (Pair)
WDST Technology
The THX-5000-SUR is designed to produce a smooth, seamless, broad distribution of sound using a pair of 5.25" Cerametallic woofers and a pair of 5" square 90 x 60° Tractrix horn-loaded tweeters in a Wide Dispersion Surround Technology (WDST) array. WDST helps the speaker provide rich, immersive surround sound and precise localization of individual effects with enhanced placement flexibility. Each woofer/tweeter set is on an angled baffle facing opposite the other, with the tweeters on a diagonal to one another to minimize interference between their outputs.
Rabbet and Dado Construction
The speaker features a rabbet and dado locked panel construction design to help ensure cabinet integrity in suspended applications. The Omni-Mount suspension points allow for wall or ceiling mounting using optional hardware.
THX Ultra2-Certified
Designed for use in high-performance 5.1-, 6.1-, and 7.1-channel home theaters, the THX-5000-SUR can also be used in a combination home theater/music system. It features vertically aligned keyholes for wall mounting and 1/4"-20 threaded inserts for use with compatible wall or ceiling speaker mounts rated for 20 lb or higher.

About brand
Klipsch
Paul W. Klipsch believed four principles to be the foundation for great sound. They continue to drive the design of every new Klipsch speaker, today and tomorrow:
High Efficiency / Low Distortion
Klipsch horn technology is highly efficient, providing more accurate sound with less power and less distortion – resulting in louder, cleaner audio. Klipsch’s Law: Efficiency is inversely proportional to distortion.
Controlled Directivity
Klipsch horn technology accurately directs sound to the proper locations, which, in turn, creates a more lifelike soundstage without wasting acoustic energy where sound is not needed or desired.
Wide Dynamic Range
The softest sounds are reproduced with remarkable clarity and the loudest sounds are delivered without harshness or distortion – with the greatest possible range between the softest and loudest sounds.
Flat Frequency Response
Audio is delivered without frequency bias – no unnatural highs, mids or lows – reproducing recorded sound as accurately as possible without colorization.
