Uni-Q Sound
The Uni-Q driver array places the tweeter in the centre of the midrange and bass cone, bringing the acoustic ideal of a single point source closer than ever. The result, enhanced by KEF's 'tangerine' waveguide over the tweeter, is a more accurate three-dimensional sound that's dispersed evenly throughout the room.
New System Design
Putting the Uni-Q driver in its own sealed cabinet reduces the load on the cone and increases clarity and detail while delivering cleaner bass. Midrange clarity is enhanced by driver improvements that mean the DC blocking capacitor to be eliminated from the crossover, allowing a more natural roll-off between drivers.
Tweaking The Tweeter
With the addition of the damped tweeter loading tube providing a gentle termination of sound produced from the back of the tweeter, lower treble performance is improved dramatically and a new low-distortion inductor on the crossover provides cleaner bass. The Q Series reproduces the nuances of bass instruments with ease. With a larger roll surround and new suspension KEF drivers produce cleaner bass at high volumes. A new cone structure improves midrange clarity and an enhanced Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) with a new surround and rear suspension enhances bass quality.
CFD-Designed Port
Featuring a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) port design with the port repositioned to the rear of the speaker, clarity is improved by reducing the audibility of the midrange leakage through the port. Low-frequency (LF) drivers now have a larger roll surround, along with a new suspension to produce cleaner bass at high volumes. A new cone structure improves midrange clarity, and an enhanced Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) with a new surround and rear suspension delivers better controlled and more impressive bass.

He selected acoustics for the Denon AVR-2600 receiver. The room is not large, so I chose specifically from the shells. KEF Q350 were favorites ..... actually went to Pult.ru to listen specifically to them, with a selection of his own CD. How was I disappointed !!! The listening from the light genre began - Disco. The first composition of James Brown. A fervent song, in the original, but something not that. A strange sensation ...... the second composition begins - Gloria Gainor. Beautiful vocals. Only there is no, vocals of this. There is Gloria, but there is no vocals! Here are the times ..... stop listening. We change the acoustics to Dali Oberon 3. Miracle! Everything played! And James Brown immediately lit and Gloria sang. With Oberons, the truth is different, but now not about them. After this comparison, everything fell into place. Cafs are deaf. The effect of the bag on the columns. There is a bass, beautiful, deep enough and clearly defined. The top and middle is pain. The vocals are not clear, the higher the worse (especially female). As if from the next room. There are no tops. The plates on the shock installation are not heard, the impression is that they are made of wood and not made of copper, with copper winds in the bells, as if rags had been stuck. But with all this, a wide scene. It was very disappointing that such a nonsense came out with kafs. For the sake of interest a few days later, in another salon, I decided to listen to them again, but with the Denon PMA-800 stereoisizer. The result is the same. Kafs with denon do not play. We need a bright, sonorous amplifier, with an accent at the top.
If you do not have denon, be sure to listen to them. Their bass is good, a wide scene. If it weren’t for the crib with the tops, I would definitely buy it.
