The Descend series subwoofers are equipped with the new 3XR ™ architecture from Definitive Technology. This creates an extremely large radiation surface, which ensures a higher air flow. The result is an incredibly large, loud and clear bass. The use of passive membranes also prevents unnecessary distortion and port noises and delivers the ultimate bass.

Fits almost any room

The DN8 is almost 30 cm wide and fits in practically any room or system. Thanks to its 3XR ™ architecture, it delivers the performance of a 10-inch subwoofer, even though an 8-inch driver is installed. The DN8 gives you massive bass from a small-sized subwoofer.

Customized Class D digital amplification

The DN8 is equipped with a bespoke digital Class D amplifier with 500 W peak power, which has been developed to exploit the full potential of the 3XR ™ architecture. The tailor-made amplification gives the Descend DN8 enough power and efficiency to reproduce low frequencies up to 35Hz.

Control & customization

You can customize the DN8 to meet the needs of your own application, system and space. The DN8 has integrated controls for setting volume, low-pass filter and phase (0/180 °) for the optimal bass level. Set the power switch to Auto on / off or DC-Control to switch the power supply on and off quickly and easily.
