The RME ADI-2 Pro is packed with everything you could want in an AD/DA converter. Experience world-class sound with ultra-stable clocking and sample rates up to 768kHz. Convert between multiple digital formats including AES, S/PDIF, and ADAT. Record and play back DSD audio. You can also use the ADI-2 Pro as a top-tier double headphone amplifier. A high-resolution display makes keeping an eye on your levels and parameters a piece of cake and USB compatibility allows you to use the ADI-2 Pro as a high-end AD/DA front-end for your Mac/PC, iPad, or iPhone. Great for engineers and passionate audiophiles alike, RME has created an exceptional AD/DA converter in the ADI-2 Pro.
Quality construction that translates into world-class sound
Its main circuit board features a 10-layer design with custom copper thickness. Its internal power supply employs a low-noise design that delivers separate power to its headphone outputs. In use, the ADI-2 Pro exhibits an exceptional signal-to-noise ratio, minimal harmonic distortion, and a high slew rate via selected SoundPlus op-amps.
Its entire analog signal path is fully symmetrical, balanced, and DC-coupled. The only capacitors in the ADI-2 Pro's signal path perform DC protection at its analog input sockets and have been carefully selected to avoid any sonic impact.
A myriad of analog and digital I/O options
Whatever signal you feed the RME ADI-2 Pro, it can take it. A pair of servo-balanced XLR/TRS combo analog inputs makes connecting your studio gear a breeze. Two separate balanced and unbalanced outputs on XLR and TS are also on tap, as are two Extreme Power headphone outputs. The ADI-2 Pro's optical S/PDIF I/O also accommodates ADAT and AES signals. Connect your Mac to the ADI-2 Pro's USB port to use it as a 6-in/8-out audio interface — no drivers required. Or use it under Windows with RME's rock-solid MADIface driver for full WDM and ASIO compatibility. Its USB port is also compatible with your iOS devices.
Loaded with unique features for unparalleled performance
The ADI-2 Pro has more features than your average AD/DA converter. ADI2Pro has access to Bass/Treble controls, a binaural crossfeed function, adjustable loudness filter, selectable AD/DA filters, four discrete I/O reference levels, auto reference level setting, auto balanced headphones mode, and more. Professional engineers will appreciate the ADI-2 Pro's onboard M-S processing, stereo width, and phase reversal parameters. You also get a spectral analyzer and 30-band bi-quad filtered analysis tool. Best of all, everything is easily visible on the ADI-2 Pro's high-resolution display.
From the very beginning, unsurpassed performance has been one of the cornerstones of RME‘s product design, and this is even more evident today. RME were the first to deliver professional performance over USB 2.0 and have recently paved the way for multichannel audio on USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt technology for Windows. RME‘s refusal to compromise on any aspect of product design or manufacture has resulted an unrivalled reputation for quality, performance and reliability.
