The Q550 2.5-way is far more capable than its compact size might suggest, delivering wide bandwidth and full scale with ease. With the KEF signature Uni-Q driver, a 130mm (5.25 inch) aluminium bass driver and two matching ABRs the Q550 delivers phenomenal audiophile performance with clarity and power.

Black magnetic grills are optional and are available to purchase separately.

Uni-Q Sound
The Uni-Q driver array places the tweeter in the centre of the midrange and bass cone, bringing the acoustic ideal of a single point source closer than ever. The result, enhanced by KEF's 'tangerine' waveguide over the tweeter, is a more accurate three-dimensional sound that's dispersed evenly throughout the room.

New System Design
Putting the Uni-Q driver in its own sealed cabinet reduces the load on the cone and increases clarity and detail while delivering cleaner bass. Midrange clarity is enhanced by driver improvements that mean the DC blocking capacitor to be eliminated from the crossover, allowing a more natural roll-off between drivers.

Tweaking The Tweeter
With the addition of the damped tweeter loading tube providing a gentle termination of sound produced from the back of the tweeter, lower treble performance is improved dramatically and a new low-distortion inductor on the crossover provides cleaner bass. The Q Series reproduces the nuances of bass instruments with ease. With a larger roll surround and new suspension KEF drivers produce cleaner bass at high volumes. A new cone structure improves midrange clarity and an enhanced Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) with a new surround and rear suspension enhances bass quality.

CFD-Designed Port
Featuring a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) port design with the port repositioned to the rear of the speaker, clarity is improved by reducing the audibility of the midrange leakage through the port. Low-frequency (LF) drivers now have a larger roll surround, along with a new suspension to produce cleaner bass at high volumes. A new cone structure improves midrange clarity, and an enhanced Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) with a new surround and rear suspension delivers better controlled and more impressive bass.

Honestly, this is love at first sight. I really liked the outwardly black stylish nobolniks. Grounds are sorry to close such beauty. I perfectly fit into the interior of the living room. Even the spouse (far from audiophilia) said that it was very cool. Work out the pledged potential one hundred percent. And Glac is a sound. I just touched the first 3 days (I burned the thighs with boiling water) and could not listen. Now I want to buy a SAB in the kit.

A good option for stereo-listening, for and as part of a home theater. A pure beautiful and expressive sound, a really wide scene. I checked on many musical genres. I recommend buying! Grilles are not included in the kit, pay attention to this, but without them the speakers look stylish.

He had pleasure to enjoy the sound of this speaker system all day, being on vacation at a party. I liked it very much. Pure sound, beautiful conveys all the nuances of the arrangements. Acoustics is much less than it looks in the photo. Three speakers are divided into 2.5 stripes. The role of the phase inverter is given to two passive speakers, one of which is below and the other third from the bottom. Acoustics creates an uniform sound field, but small volume and weight, filter tuning, make the sound of lightweight, characteristic of shelf acoustics.
