The sound is bright and detailed, excellent bass. The case is very well dumped corps without the slightest prize.
They lose in the appearance of my Aria 906 in varnish. The case looks like a plastic one, but taking in your hands, you immediately understand how well the engineers have worked on them. Acoustics are very weighty for their size. There are no protective grills.
I took on a replacement for Focal Aria 906 without prior listening, I am based on a lot of laudatory reviews on the Internet, including “authoritative publications”. In my focals, I lacked the bass and I wanted more expressive than the middle. The sound of Kef is very expressive, detailed, transparent, with excellent bass and wide scene, but not mine. At the volume of about 3/4 from the maximum, the sound of the top becomes too sonorous and “unnatural”, for my taste. I probably got used to the velvety high Aria. Once again, acoustics are very good and detailed, but it needs to be listened to yourself. I will have to give it to the parents.

UNI -Q driver - another sound level
For shock bottoms, you will need a subwoofer
Tired of fighting a rather boring (someone will call him “neutral”) sounding Wharfendale Reva -4 by replacing the wires, decided on the only true step - to find for them a new owner, and to himself a new “pet”.
Given the move to a relatively small room (18 sq. M, a panel 17 -story building), shells became a landmark, in the future and if necessary - the transition to Tryphonics.
I will not delve into the details, as I chose and what. Ultimately, the choice has narrowed to LS50 META and KEF R3. Given personal preferences (the details of the upper reaches and the width of the scene) stopped at the first. R3 is more about depth, if anyone is interested.
As a result, on LS50 META:
A surprisingly wide scene and detail that reveal the sound of many genres and compositions in a new way.
Sufficient "bottoms" for listening at a small and medium volume. Yes, “South of Heaven” from Slayer will not beat your chest, but the way the barrel clicks on the “meta” and reefs sound no less pleasure. "Wish You Were Here" Pink Floyd will amaze with a drive, and the excellent collection of Midsummer Classics from the distant 90s is detailed and contrast.
The way these columns sound with vinyl is generally a separate conversation. When the usual “warmth” of LP is complemented by such a wide scene, it is expensive.
Like pleasant bonuses, in addition to obvious shells (compact size, for example) - the ability to put them quite close to each other and almost any height (thanks to the "wall of sound" that they give out).
In general, in my opinion, today these are just the best shellputs from mass manufacturers.
