In terms of functionality, the CXN exceeds everyone in its price category and many with a price of 1.5–2 times higher. He keeps the WIFI connection well, but I connected it with a cable. The management is very simple, in the applications you can see CXN V2 as an external device. An excellent thing Chromecast is supported in Yandex-music services and ZVUK (Sberbianculations). At the ZVUK service from a premium subscription (199 rubles per month), tracks in CD quality are available. But the music on Tidal Hifi sounds better.
Before buying at Pult.ru, I compared with Primar Prisma and Hegel H95. The sound of Cambridge seemed to me more lively than Primare, more neutral and airy than Hegel. Of course, Primare and Hegel have their advantages, but in general, by sound these are devices of the same class. Cambridge sound is closer to me. The sound of Cambridge CXN V2 is English - soft, but with good dynamics, neutral tonal balance, the sound is very detailed, with a good scene, a lot of air. The CXN works well as an external DAC. According to the genres, everything plays equally well. Jazz and classic sound magical. But the CXN recording disadvantages will show you clearly.
My opinion Cambridge CXN V2 is an outstanding device, the best in its price category and may well compete with more expensive devices

He regularly loses the Wi-Fi network and, accordingly, interrupts the sound both on the Internet radio and on music services (about 2-3 minutes of the break every 20-40 minutes). At the same time, there are no problems from the phone in the same network at all.
This is the second device, the first did not join the network at all, I had to make an exchange. I probably would have handed it back and this instance, but it is not clear what to change.

I myself sin by some selectivity to the Tsap microcircuits (I prefer Asahi Kasei and I do not complain about the ECS), as for Wolphson 8740 this is the real ancient shit of the mammoth! I had a SA-650 on it and even then it was not a novelty. I generally liked that Sidyuk Cambridge. He did not have digital synthetics, did not whisper, did not burn the gyrus and sounded closer to the analogue, approximately like the MM head Ortofon Red. In terms of the detail of the stars from the sky, I didn’t have enough, in the dynamics, too, but played together, whole, painted a good spatial picture ... i.e. I expected something similar by analogy. But in fact I heard completely different! I do not know what the company's engineers smoke there and what the cheap DACs Wolfson are fumigating, but to make them sound tantamount to a feat! Details and presentation at the top as that of AK4497, dynamics and rhythm as ESS9018 and all the buns from maintaining the ingenious and comfort of the old one 8740. I have long heard in CD Cyrus on Cyrus-Logic chips, but the price tag was then even on the times of the 2000s Not at all sour, around 3,000 pounds. In general, the test! Who needs a decent network streamer can no longer search. PS In the SA-81 amplification, the DAC is seriously inferior in sound, so that for the Cambridge monobrand rack: the transport of SD to this network player, the player is already in the amp.
